Collection: Bridget Taylor

Bridget Taylor lives and works between Hawks Nest and the Hunter Valley, and draws inspiration from both coastal and country locations.

She has an Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts majoring in Painting and Sculpture, achieving a very high standard upon graduating. Bridget received the faculty medal for Art.

With many exhibitions under her belt, she has also been involved in public artworks with the Newcastle City Council and various adult and children’s workshops around the Hunter, Newcastle area.

“I enjoy working on large-scale canvas as this enables me to engage with the work. I strive to get the most out of a colour building and layering, leaving glimpses of the previous colour to lure the eye into the canvas, and having a conversation with colour. If asked the question “What do you paint” I would have to say COLOUR.”

Bridget’s work is fresh and energetic making for a great statement piece.
